Since moving from Alberta to Ontario, we've been taking at least one yearly trip to Florida, sometimes two.  While living overseas we used to travel to the Miami area quite frequently so were quite familiar with the east coast but had never visited any parts of the Gulf coast.  We were definitely missing out!  Our first trip to the Gulf coast was to Fort Myers and following trips have been to the St. Petersburg beach areas, including Madeira Beach and Indian Shores.
