How to Inaugurate a Giant Barbeque

When Uncle Mikey does something...he does it big!  After recently purchasing a 3/4 ton barbeque complete with wheels, trailer hitch, electric rotisserie, and onboard sun umbrella, capable of roasting a 200 pound piggy, Michael and Ana invited us over to help with the ceremony.

The day was a delight from beginning (dusting spider webs off barbeque) to end (akavit shots.....ugh.).  John and I pitched in where we could, but Michael was the driving force from fueling, to lighting, to skewering to the final slicing job.  In between, we kept ourselves occupied with plenty of beer and a bit of backyard bachi.  After we devoured as much chicken and pork as we could (there were even a few token vegetables on the table!), Anna used the deck-mounted rocket roaster to flambé some peaches which made for a wicked dessert.

The next day, Mike gave the beast a thorough cleaning then we slapped half a gallon of black paint on it to give it an even more sinister appearance.

Thanks for the barbeque!
