It was only a day trip, but what an extraordinary place!!  We spent a weekend away with our friends Mark and Sarah when we were living in the Dominican Republic.  We were actually staying in St. Martin but we took a high speed ferry over to St. Barts for the day.  Upon arrival, we rented a car then spent the day cruising around the island exploring.  We saw some of the most beautiful beaches ever and the whole time were really wishing that we could spend a few days there.  We had a superb lunch at a restaurant (can't remember the name...whoops!), right on the beach then followed up the feeding with a long swim out to a sandbank far off shore.

Our friends took this unbelievable picture of us walking down this remarkable beach and gave it to us as a going away present when we left Dominican Republic.  Unfortunately, it's too large to fit in the scanner so you'll have to come visit us if you want to see it!!

Things to Know 

The roads are steep and extremely narrow so be careful driving!!
